Vault Manchester's 20th Anniversary!

pacemanchester

Vault Manchester is back for its 20th anniversary and to celebrate this, it is making its first appearance on the World Athletics Indoor Tour.

The women’s competition is headlined by local Sale Harriers athlete Sophie Ashurst who finished 6th at the World Junior Championships in 2022 and has since improved her PB to 4.35m. Tilly Hooper, Megan Bailey, Felicia Miloro, Zofia Gaborska (Poland) and Katarzyna Mirek (Poland) all have PBs over 4.20m which should lead to a very exciting and close competition.

Commonwealth Games Silver medalist and former European finalist Adam Hague leads the line up for the men’s competition with Thomas Van Neuffelen (Belgium) and Jaan Bal (Belgium) having seasons best heights on par. Also keep an eye on Thomas Walley who was 3rd at British Indoor Champs last winter and Will Lane who represented Great Britain at last year’s World Junior Championships in Peru.

There are over 100 vaulters entered for the event with competitions running along side the elite competitions throughout the day.

Spectator tickets are still available via Eventbrite and entry is free – come join us for an exciting day pole vault competition.
